Whakatū Marae Waka Ama Club was established with the following kaupapa in mind.  To provide positive opportunities for all whānau, while encouraging Manaakitanga, Hauora and Rangatiratanga.
Waka Ama also provides a sense of whanaungatanga and a chance to re-connect with part of our culture of the Pacific Peoples.
  • To support whānau to learn Waka Ama paddling, and to enjoy its family orientation and healthy lifestyle
  • To support the development of rangatahi through involvement in outrigger navigation
